Dear colleagues,

- Are you a real technical geek?
- Like process large datasets of GPS, InSAR, terrestrial LiDAR and/or optical sensors applied to Earth, Ocean or Atmospheric Sciences?
- Can you even combine techniques to do cool science?
Then, the right audience to show it will be gathering during the upcoming Joint Assembly 4-6th January 2017, in Liverpool, United Kingdom.

Submit and register at https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/tsg-vmsg-bga/registration/ for the Session 18.

S.18 - Geodesy and Remote Sensing: Methodologies and applications

This session aims to bring together the current developments on theory, methodologies and application cases within the fields of geodesy and remote sensing. From a traditional reference frame definition to transient gravity signals, geodesy still provides the foundations for the interpretation of datasets across many geosciences disciplines (Soft-, Solid-Earth, Hydrosphere or Biogeosciences). Here, we encourage submissions on theoretical and applied geodesy. We also invite contributions focused on emerging observation types, new developments, relevant test cases or interpretations of natural processes driven by the use of optical, laser and/or radar remotely-sensed data. In particular, applications based on the exploitation of big data, such as multi-temporal and multi-sensor analysis of long (decade or longer) time series of observations are welcomed.

Convenors:

Pablo J. Gonzalez, University of Liverpool, pjgonzal@liverpool.ac.uk
Ryan Lloyd, University of Bristol, Ryan.lloyd@bristol.ac.uk
