Quaternary International has just published a special issue on 'Volcanic Activity and Human Society' (http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journal/10406182/394/supp/C) and Aarhus
University Press has released a new edited volume on 'Past Vulnerability' in relation specifically to volcanic hazards: http://en.unipress.dk/udgivelser/p/past-vulnerability/.
