Etna International Training School of Geochemistry, Science meets Practice 1-6 August 2016

Dear colleagues,
Greetings from the “Etna International Training School of Geochemistry, Science meets Practice”. The Training School is going to take place at the Osservatorio Vulcanico di Pizzi Deneri in Mt. Etna (Italy) from 1 to 6 of August 2016.
The school is addressed to senior graduate students and postdoctoral researchers and its main aim is to bring together the next generation of researchers active in studies concerning the geochemistry and to introduce them with innovating direct sampling and remote sensing techniques. The Training School is going to keep a low-cost philosophy, providing students with a unique field experience supported by a group of expert teachers in a spectacular volcanic scenery. Furthermore, it gives young scientists an opportunity to experiment and evaluate new protocols and techniques to be used on volcanic fluid emissions covering a broad variety of methods. The school is partially funded by the INGVs of Catania and Palermo, the Universities of Palermo and Florence, the Johannes Gutenberg University of Magonza and the AIV.
