Dear "Last Minute" Colleagues, We have the pleasure to invite you to submit an abstract in our amazing session !! *************** This session focuses on recent and/or ongoing volcanic activity worldwide. Reports of activity or "near real-time analysis" of volcanic eruptions using conventional or novel techniques and contributions on volcanic unrest, whether or not leading to eruptions, are within the focus of this session. We particularly encourage reports on the "live interpretation" of observables that can be helpful in the analysis of the situation and provide valuable information for briefing the authorities and the public. Examples of such information can be, but is not limited to, the link between deformation, seismic activity, geodesy, gas fluxes, seismic anisotropy changes, visual/thermal observations, etc. During and after eruptions, new techniques involving drones (UAV) are recently used to map the changed topography, the evolution of the lava flows, the effect of gas-poisoned forests, etc. Drones are now cheap and able to map in the visible or multispectral domains. The repeated fly-by gives extra monitoring parameters to the observers. Experiences or recent developments in these techniques for volcano monitoring are most welcome too. *************** "Last-Minute Special": One free Weissbier for the first 5 submissions to the session following this email Submit Now! : http://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU2016/session/20850 Best regards Thomas Lecocq & Corentin Caudron
