Dear All, 

We write to invite you to contribute to a session at this fall's AGU devoted to the broad theme  of Geophysical, Astrophysical and Geological Fluid Dynamics. This diverse session is aimed at bringing together a broad spectrum of scientists interested in building understanding of fundamental fluid mechanical processes that enter into (and often govern) key problems in, for example, climate science, planetary atmospheres, volcanology, surface processes, mantle flow and core dynamos. 

We have four awesome invited speakers to kick things off:

Jim McElwaine (avalanches and surface processes)

Stephanie Waterman (Eddies, jets and mixing in the ocean)

Mike Calkins (Compressible Quasigeostrophic convection in gases)

Simona Bordoni (The response of monsoons to climate change on a water planet)
