Two PDRA's: Volcanism,magmatism and hazards on Ascension Island

Two Post-doctoral Research Associate positions are available as part of a new interdisciplinary project funded by the Leverhulme Trust and involving researchers from the University of East Anglia, Durham University, Glasgow University (SUERC) and the Volcanology Team of the British Geological Survey.
The project involves a forensic interrogation of the control that magmatic processes exert on eruption timing, style and magnitude for the sub-aerial deposits of Ascension Island. It also explores how this data can help to anticipate the impact of possible future volcanic activity.
Each position is for 24 months starting on or around 1st March 2014.
