Revenue for the calendar sales will go to maintain the INVOLCAN educational program "Canary Islands: a volcanic window in the Atlantic" that annually visit the 88 municipalities of the Canary Islands since 2008 informing and educating the public on the volcanic phenomena and volcanic risk management in the Canary Islands. INVOLCAN stands for Instituto Volcanológico de Canarias or Canary Islands Volcanological Institute.
The them of the 2013 INVOLCAN Solidarity Volcano Calendar is the Historical Volcanism of the Canary Islands. This 2013 INVOLCAN Solidarity Volcano Calendar wall with an exceptional cover photo of Sergio Socorro on Cumbre Vieja volcano (La Palma, Canary Island) plus 12 sheets of 30.5 x 30.5 cm (12 x 12 in) shows in each monthly sheet a photo of a specific historical eruption in the Canary Islands, a map of the lava flows associated to that specific historical eruption and a little historical information of the historical eruption.
