NSF support for US-based students at COV7
From: fagents@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
****************************************************************************************

We have been recommended to receive NSF funding to offer partial support
for up to 20 US-based graduate students in volcanology to attend the 2012
Cities on Volcanoes 7 conference in Colima, Mexico. The conference dates
are 18-23 November 2012.

To be eligible students must be enrolled at the time of application in a
graduate program in volcanology at a US university.

To apply please submit a CV, publication list and a letter outlining your
reasons for participating in the meeting. Priority will be given to
students presenting their research at COV7. In this case please include a
copy of your abstract with the application. US-based students who have
already applied to the conference organizers for support will
AUTOMATICALLY be considered for support from NSF.

We anticipate making awards averaging $1200 to up to 20 students. Awards
will be scaled to reflect the relative costs of air travel from point of
origin in the USA.

Awards will be paid RETROSPECTIVELY as a single payment after the meeting
on receipt of a copy of conference registration and boarding passes.
Students should be aware that there is always a significant delay in
processing of such travel awards.

Closing date for applications is Friday 20 July.

Please send your applications electronically to
