New Geyser-Type Eruptions and Mud Cascade at Poas Volcano; Costa Rica.
Recent fieldwork at Poas volcano showed new geyser activity out of the newly formed
vent; at the north base of the dome. From such cavity (15x8m aprox), an active water
and mud fountain (5-6m) raises to produce a constant overflow over the lowest edge; into
the lake; in the shape of a 7m cascade of mud and debris.
