******************************************************************************************** UVolc:A software platform for measuring volcanic SO2 fluxes From: epi ksa <evripidis78@xxxxxxxx> ******************************************************************************************** Announcing: ***************************************************** ***************************************************** UVolc: A software platform for measuring volcanic SO2 fluxes http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.cageo.2011.07.011 ***************************************************** ***************************************************** This is a freely-available user friendly standalone program for monitoring volcanic SO2 fluxes with mini-UV spectrometers. Please see the above link for a paper providing further details and : http://robert-bryant.staff.shef.ac.uk/uvolc/ where the code can be downloaded, including an extensive user manual. UVolc allows the user to obtain SO2 fluxes by performing column amount measurements with DOAS from a static position or by traversing under the plume while mitigating for instrumental errors such as stray light. It can accurately calibrate the spectrometer with a UV-lamp or acquire SO2 cell measurements. It is compatible with Ocean Optics USB2000,USB2000+ and Avantes Avaspec-2048-USB2 and any Garmin hand-held GPS with serial interface capability e.g. eTrex H.
