You are invited to submit abstracts to session NH17, "Remote Sensing of
Natural Hazards", at Fall AGU meeting to be held in San Francisco during
December 5-9, 2011.
Description: Natural hazards such as earthquakes, volcanoes, landslides,
droughts, floods, forest fires, etc, are associated with the land, ocean
and atmosphere and coupling between land-ocean-atmosphere. Frequencies of
natural hazards are increasing with the global climatic change. Various
satellite sensors are now capable of monitoring land, ocean and atmosphere
during day and night, providing timely information to evaluate ongoing
changes, improving the ability to predict natural hazards, and reducing
their impacts through better planning and mitigation. The session will
focus on papers that present new satellite observations, innovative
analysis tools, and advanced modeling techniques in monitoring, mapping,
damage assessment and early warning of natural hazards.
Abstracts can be submitted at: http://agu-fm11.abstractcentral.com/
