The 2nd circular and call for abstracts for the 7th Biennial Workshop on
Japan-Kamchatka-Alaska Subduction Processes: Mitigating Risk through
International Volcano, Earthquake, and Tsunami Science are now available
at:

The meeting, which includes two days of field trips, will be held August
25 through 30. In order that visiting scientists and students can
participate in more than one event, JKASP-2011 immediately follows the
International Volcanological Field School (guest scientists/teachers are
welcome):

JKASP-2011 immediately precedes the 11th Gas Volcanic Gas Workshop,
Commission on the Chemistry of Volcanic Gases, IAVCEI:

The abstract deadline is June 1, but requests for official letters of
invitation needed for a Russian visa must be received by the Institute of
Volcanology and Seismology by May 1.
