Please join us for 2010 Cordilleran GSA meeting May 27-29 in Anaheim California. Listed below are several technical sessions and field trips that will focus on a variety of volcanological, petrological and/or geochemical themes.
TECHNICAL SESSIONS:
"Debating the Connections between the Plutonic and Volcanic Rock Record."

"Sierra Nevada Microplate-Basement and Basins."
Conveners: Jason Saleeby and Zorka Saleeby, California Institute of Technology
"Advances in Understanding Magma Petrogenesis and Eruption Dynamics at Basaltic Monogenetic Volcanoes."
Conveners: Brandon Browne, CSU-Fullerton; Nancy Riggs, Northern Arizona University.
"New Insights into the Petrology of Cordilleran Batholiths."
Conveners: Diane Clemens-Knott, CSU-Fullerton; Doug Morton, USGS and UC-Riverside.
FIELD TRIPS:
"Geologic History, Eruptive Stratigraphy and Ongoing Volcanic Unrest at Long Valley Caldera and Mammoth Mountain." Sun.-Wed., 30 May-2 June.
Leaders: Wes Hildreth, David Hill and Jorge Vazquez, USGS Volcano Hazards Program; Brandon Browne, CSU-Fullerton
"Quaternary Geology of the San Bernardino Mountains and Their Tectonic Margins."
Sun.-Tues., 30 May-1 June.
Leaders: Doug Yule, CSU-Northridge; Jonathan Matti, USGS; James Spotila, Virginia Tech
Students are strongly encouraged to submit abstracts and attend field trips. The abstract deadline is March 9. More information and registration deadlines are available at:
