Hello,

My apologies if you receive this message more than once!

New web pages for the Montréal Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre (VAAC)
will be posted on 10 DECEMBER 2008:
http://meteo.gc.ca/eer/vaac/index_e.html (English)
 http://meteo.gc.ca/eer/vaac/index_f.html (French)

The existing web links (http://www.meteo.gc.ca/eer/index_e.html and
http://www.meteo.gc.ca/eer/index_f.html ) and sub-links will be
removed and all your bookmarks will have to be adjusted accordingly.

The new pages will meet the following objectives:

1- Compliance with ICAO's IAVWOPSG/4, Conclusion 4/7 (
http://www.icao.int/anb/iavwopsg/meetings/iavwopsg4/report/report.pdf
):

Conclusion 4/7 > -> Standardization of volcanic ash advisories web pages

That, VAACs, in providing a web-based interface via the public Internet, be
required to give a direct link to a unique webpage that provides information
relevant to ICAO volcanic ash products.

Note 1. > -> The link needs to reside on the front page of each VAAC
website; and

Note 2. > -> The web-based service is in compliance with ICAO Doc
9855, Guidelines on the Use of the Public Internet for Aeronautical
Applications.

2- Compliance with the Meteorological Service of Canada's requirements
for web pages.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions or
comments. Thank you.

Kind regards,
René

Manager, VAAC Montréal
