LECTURESHIP IN GEOPHYSICS

Academic Grade 2: £27,466 to £32,796 per annum
Academic Grade 3: £34,813 to £40,335 per annum
An exciting opportunity exists for a Lecturer in the areas of
environmental geophysics or geophysical natural hazards or geophysical earth
observation to contribute to research and teaching in geophysical sciences
within the interdisciplinary 5** School of Environmental Sciences. You will
have a PhD and be able to demonstrate a strong research record. You will be
expected to take an active role in the organisation and direction of
geophysical sciences within the earth sciences sector of the School. You will
require strong quantitative and field skills and have a willingness to develop
interdisciplinary research, particularly in areas complementary to existing
research interests in the earth sciences sector (e.g. natural hazards,
hydrogeology, physical sedimentology).
This indefinite appointment is available from 1 August 2007, please also
note that the salaries stated above are effective from 1 August 2007.
