Atmospheric Correction to AVHRR Data
***************************************
From: Anna Colvin <anna.colvin@xxxxxxxxx>

Dear Colleagues,

I am working on a thermal remote sensing project at the Universidad de
Colima, Mexico, comparing effusion rates at Volcan de Colima obtained from
thermal AVHRR data to those obtained from a handheld infrared camera. I am
looking for an atmospheric transmittance model, such as MODTRAN or LOWTRAN,
to correct for atmospheric effects. I was wondering if anyone has advice on
how to compile and use the LOWTRAN7 code or has experience performing these
corrections on AVHRR or infrared camera data?

I welcome any suggestions.

Thank you,

Anna Colvin
