Trying these things now. I had installed that version of rpihddevice only because the how-to I followed linked to it :) I will record some of the HD stream in question and then try and replay it both within VDR and from omxplayer.

Could you please try plain 0.0.9 without the latest patches in git? And some more information would be really helpful… whether it happens only on live-TV, your audio settings, config.txt, etc...
