I guess yes. We have to look at total different things, as that's
a plain vdr message.

Is your vdr-1.3.34 vanilla or a patched version ?
Which DVB driver ?
Which DVB hardware do you use ?
Is the card correct identified ?
Do dvb-apps like dvbscan work ?
