Ok, the LNBsharing patch "blocks" that automatically. >> in an other dish position or 2 timers are trying to record >> from two different satellites? >I just tried and the first timer scheduled is the one that "wins" and >that seems fine to me. >Again, I don't expect to be able to record from >two satellites at once (just like with a fixed dish it's impossible to >record from two transponders at once). No, but sh*t happens... Without the LNBsharing patch it could easily happen, that the user zaps to vertically polarized channel while recording at hor. That OTOH blocks the horizontal signal, which caused VDR to "panic" and to try a restart... Too it's not so obvious which channel is running and what polarization and sometimes channels moves... >> Or other way: >> While a recordings from pos 1 is running, it would be no >> a good idea to move the dish for the live screen to pos 2... >In fact vdr doesn't let me do that (but that's no different than with >a fixed dish). Hm, ok, so where is that handeled? Maybe only some few lines would be sufficient to block change of polarisation too. I only found "disseq.conf" which seems to define the parameters, but not LNB specific. Rainer
