Fuelwood and Christmas Tree Permits will be Temporarily Unavailable at Tusayan Ranger District from Veterans Day to Thanksgiving

Williams, Ariz., Nov 9, 2018—For Immediate Release. The available times to purchase fuelwood and Christmas tree permits from the Tusayan Ranger District office will be limited to a restricted schedule over the approaching Veterans Day and Thanksgiving Holidays.

 

Officials are alerting the public in order to avoid any possibility of inconvenience to customers. Members of the public wishing to purchase permits from the Tusayan Ranger District office are encouraged to do so early before the approaching holidays arrive.

 

Both Christmas tree and fuelwood permits will be not be available for purchase on November 14 and 15 and then the following week between November 19, and the 22, at the Tusayan Ranger District office. However, all offices including the Tusayan office will have permits available November 16 between the hours of 08:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Christmas tree permits can be ordered through the U.S. mail by sending request information and payments to the district offices at the following locations.

·         Williams Ranger District  742 S. Clover Rd, Williams AZ 86046

·         Tusayan Ranger District   176 Lincoln Log Loop, Tusayan AZ 86023   

·         North Kaibab Ranger District 430 S. Main St, Fredonia AZ 86022

 

Christmas tree permits are $15 each with a limit of 5 per household. An individual name and address is required for each permit. Please indicate the district you prefer to harvest from. Personal checks will be accepted and should be made out to: USDA Forest Service.

Fuelwood permits can only be purchased at the district offices during normal hours of operation. All offices will be closed on Veterans Day November 12, and Thanksgiving Day November 22, in observance of the Holidays.

The Williams and North Kaibab Ranger District office will not be affected by this revised schedule and will have all permits available during regular scheduled business hours.
