Pile burns scheduled Wednesday
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz., Oct. 30, 2018, For Immediate Release —
Fire managers will be conducting slash pile burns 26 miles southeast of Flagstaff Wednesday afternoon. The piles are on 100-acres of forest land near the Flying M Ranch at Yeager Canyon (34.968739,
-111.270125). Smoke is expected to disperse toward the north and northeast being visible to motorists from the Mormon
Lake overlook on Lake Mary Road to travelers on Interstate 40 near Twin Arrows. Smoke may settle during evening hours impacting low laying areas in Yeager Canyon. The public and media can get notifications of prescribed burns or any other activity happening on the
