ALASKA-NEWS-RELEASE: Public meeting for mountain goat management in Unit 4

SITKA, Alaska – The Sitka District Ranger, under authority granted by the Federal Subsistence Board, will hold a public meeting to share information and solicit comments to help guide Federal subsistence mountain goat management in Unit 4, which includes areas around: Sitka, Angoon, and Hoonah. The Alaska Department of Fish and Game will also review the current management strategy, and present information related to mountain goat harvest and population trends. The meeting will be held at the Sitka Ranger District (2108 Halibut Point Rd), July 19 at 7 p.m. Those unable to attend in person may call-in by dialing (888) 844-9904 and entering the passcode 5936793#.
