C.C. Cragin
reservoir closes for season
Clints Well, Ariz., Sep. 6, 2017, For Immediate Release —
The main forest road leading to C.C. Cragin (aka Blue Ridge) reservoir is closed for public safety because construction traffic is using the road.
Forest Road 751 is closed to vehicles at Rock Crossing campground as more improvements are made to the
boat ramp by the Arizona Game and Fish Department. These projects are providing a safer and more efficient access to the reservoir for recreational boaters.
The road closure will likely continue through the seasonal road closures, meaning Forest Road 751 will
be closed until approximately April 2018.
People may visit the reservoir by foot by walking down Forest Road 751 to Rock Crossing Trail, which
is the trail that leads down to the reservoir. However, no vehicles will be allowed on Forest Road 751 beyond Rock Crossing campground.
