Flagstaff, Ariz., Aug. 30, 2016, For Immediate Release — The Coconino National Forest has scheduled West Fork’s bridge replacement and it will cause a temporary closure of a portion of Forest Service Road 231 near the West Fork of Oak Creek Canyon. Vastco Inc. of Chino Valley, Ariz., was awarded the contract and may begin work as early as Thursday (Sept. 1) to the end of December in order to remove and build a new bridge.
