Snowbowl road closed Saturday morning for cancer walk


Flagstaff, Ariz., Aug. 18, 2016, For Immediate Release —
Snowbowl road will be closed to motorized vehicles Saturday morning from approximately 6 a.m. to noon for the Climb to Conquer Cancer event.

            This event will host over 3,500 people who will be walking 6.5 miles from the bottom to the top of Snowbowl road, so motorized vehicles will not be allowed on the road in order to provide public safety for participants.

            Those who are planning to hike Humphreys Trail, which begins at Arizona Snowbowl, should plan accordingly and drive to the trailhead either before or after the event.
