Northern Tongass invasive plant management open house schedule

KETCHIKAN, Alaska– The Tongass National Forest is in the early stages of developing an invasive plant management plan for the northern units on the Forest including Admiralty National Monument, and Hoonah, Juneau, Sitka and Yakutat Ranger Districts.

Project coordinators will be meeting in five communities within these units to talk about the invasive plants in each area, as well as possible treatments. They are interested in hearing the public’s thoughts, ideas and concerns and known locations of invasive plants.
