Flagstaff Fire Department’s Wildland Fire Management Crew plans to continue slash pile burning on Monday the 17th.  Piles will be ignited at several locations in the Westridge neighborhood north of Thorpe Park.  These piles burns are part of FFD’s effort to reduce wildfire risk and help restore forest health.  On Monday, smoke may be visible from west Flagstaff for part of the day.  Some overnight smoke may settle in the Fort Valley Rd. corridor but is expected to be light.   Additional burns will likely be conducted throughout the week as conditions allow.  FFD has no prescribed fire plans for this weekend.

Please call the Flagstaff Fire Department Administration office at 213-2500 with any questions.
