Scott Prescribed Fire Canceled on Tusayan Ranger District
TUSAYAN, Ariz. – Fire managers have canceled plans to implement the Scott Prescribed Fire on the Tusayan Ranger District due to forcasted windy, rainy conditions this week.
The burn was scheduled to begin Tuesday, Oct. 4 pending favorable environmental conditions and Arizona Department of Environmental Quality approval. The 1,400-acre project is located southeast of
Tusayan. Tusayan Ranger District fire crews will re-consider conducting this and other prescribed fires after the current weather system exits the area. For more information, please contact Punky Moore (928-635-5653).
