Moonset Pit Closed for the Season
WILLIAMS, Ariz. – Moonset Pit is closed for the season according to volunteers who staffed the disposal site
this year. The pit is located on National Forest land west of Parks. It was open from May through September for residents
to deposit forest debris from their private property. This community service would not be possible without the help of local fire personnel and community members who volunteered their time. You can take steps to reduce the risk of wildfire damage to your home. Clearing flammable material away from your home reduces the risk of a wildfire from starting or spreading on
your property. It also gives firefighters an area to work. For more information please call Ray Raetzel at (928) 635-0059 or Ann Dudley at (928) 635-0417.
