Williams Ranger District Cancels Prescribed Burn WILLIAMS, Ariz. – Kaibab National Forest fire managers have cancelled plans to implement the Southeast unit of the City prescribed burn on the Williams Ranger District. The 1,800-acre project is
located about two miles southeast of Williams. The burn was scheduled to begin early this week, pending favorable conditions and Arizona Department of Environmental Quality approval. Conditions are too wet now but will be re-evaluated on a regular basis for possible implementation at a later date. For more information, please contact Punky Moore (928-635-5653).
