Celebrate National Trails Day with Kaibab National Forest
WILLIAMS, Ariz. – The Williams and Tusayan ranger districts of the Kaibab National Forest, in cooperation with the Arizona Trail Association, will host a trail restoration and maintenance project on the Arizona Trail starting at Moqui Stage Station from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 4 in recognition of National Trails Day.
Work will include brushing out and removing vegetation in an overgrown section of trail, removing trees and limbs blocking the trail, and a small amount of rock work. Hardhats, gloves, tools and sack lunches will be provided. Participants should bring water, sunscreen, sturdy shoes, long sleeves and pants.
