Forest Service to Host Fire Season Media Workshop



WILLIAMS, Ariz. – The Coconino and Kaibab National Forests will host a fire season workshop for news media Wednesday, May 11, from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Mormon Lake Ranger Station, 4373 S. Lake Mary Road, Flagstaff, Ariz.  This is an important time to receive information about the upcoming fire season. Reporters, photographers, and editors are welcome. The agenda will include:
        Weather Outlook
        Predictive Services products
        Fire Management Update
        4FRI update
        Preparedness
        Campfire Safety
        Air Quality Monitoring Equipment on Display
        Information Sharing
        Fire Safety, including Fire Shelter practice (Please wear clothing appropriate for fire shelter practice – comfortable pants and shoes.)
