Tentative prescribed fire plans for the week of November 30
Flagstaff, AZ – Pending favorable conditions next week, Fire Managers are planning to conduct prescribed burns on the IMAX project on the Mogollon Rim Ranger District. The project is located approximately 7 miles northwest of Clint’s Well, 25 miles northeast of Camp Verde. Smoke will disperse to the northeast, however, some residual smoke may follow drainages and settle in the Verde Valley overnight.
No prescribed fire activity is planned for the Flagstaff area (Peaks and Mormon Lake Ranger Districts) next week.
Monday, November 23
IMAX Project – 700 acres.
All prescribed fire activity is dependent on personnel availability, weather – including ventilation conditions, and approval from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (www.azdeq.gov).
