Coconino National Forest Planned Prescribed Fire Activity for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.  

Remember that all prescribed fire activity is dependant on weather, crew availability, and approval from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (www.azdeq.gov).

Wednesday April 29:
A-1 PROJECT: Approximately 200 acres located on Observatory Mesa, northwest of Flagstaff.  Smoke should move northeast with the forecast winds.  Some residual smoke may settle around north and west Flagstaff during the evening and early morning hours.  

Planned for Thursday and Friday, April 30 – May 1, pending favorable weather and wind conditions:
MARS HILL PROJECT: Located behind Lowell Observatory
LAKE MARY PROJECT: West of Upper Lake Mary
ROCKY PROJECT: East of I-17 at the Schnebly Hill Road exit
