Agriculture Secretary Vilsack to Announce Recovery Act Funding to Improve Water Quality and Create Jobs
WASHINGTON, Sept. 17, 2010 - MONDAY, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will hold a national media call to discuss funding for water and environmental projects in 32 states and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. The projects, funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, will improve water quality, and create jobs in local communities across the country.
States receiving awards include: Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
