I obtained the latest CVS tree from Sourceforge and then started
Configure. Unfortunately, I received an error message I could not
resolve so far:
I used the command:
gcc -O -I/usr/local/include -o try -L/usr/local/lib try.c -lresolv
-lhdb -lnsl
./try
and I got the following output:
cc1: warning: changing search order for system directory
"/usr/local/include"
cc1: warning: as it has already been specified as a non-system directory
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i486-suse-linux/3.2/../../../../i486-suse-linux/bin/ld:
cannot find -lhdb
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
I can't compile the test program.
(The supplied flags or libraries might be incorrect.)
You have a BIG problem. Shall I abort Configure [y] n
Ok, I tried to continue, the compile started but then aborted
with
gcc -c -O -I/usr/local/include util.c
cc1: warning: changing search order for system directory
"/usr/local/include"
cc1: warning: as it has already been specified as a non-system directory
util.c: In function `doshell':
util.c:227: incompatible type for argument 1 of `wait'
make: *** [util.o] Fehler 1
Any hints? Has the error to do with the previously missing lib or
is it an additional problem?
