Ther isn't. I have done it this way:

# ~/.Xresources
! Xcursor.theme: default
Xcursor.size: 48

# ~/.gtkrc-2.0
gtk-cursor-theme-name="Adwaita"
gtk-cursor-theme-size=48

# ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini
gtk-cursor-theme-name=Adwaita
gtk-cursor-theme-size=48

The GTK stuff was filled in using "lxappearance"
