That is a waste of time and resources. Mastodon definitely seems the best fit for our collective purposes. Just let the devs post to our "official communication channel"; then let other people take up the work of auto-crossposting, or maintaining other social media accounts (the "unofficial communication channels"). Perhaps a standard disclaimer would be in order, for those unofficial channels, or some kind of links pointing back to the official account; but otherwise, I say let the developers do what they do best, which is to make TDE even better than it is now. Besides, there have been other places online - I am thinking of my own first steps in running Linux - where the official channels tend to be too technical for beginners, and the unofficial channels are a better place to start. This will keep things relatively simple, but adaptable.
