I've looked now what is in the setup of the notebook.

1. xorg.conf is setup to mirror on both displays (this is how you get login
on each of them)
2. the user copnfiguration (xrandr or tderandrtray) takes care to extend
after login.

I am not sure right now if TDE is "memorizing" the selected configuration
(per monitor ID or so like Windows does)
Obviously here on the notebooks it was done with the script.
