A company called System1 appears to have bought them out late last year
(I wasn't aware of it, but I'm not actively using the browser).  Since the
browser is MPL-licensed and the source is in plain sight on Github 
( https://github.com/MrAlex94/Waterfox ), I wouldn't worry too much.
