Took it about 20 minutes to open a window and advise me 3 of the indices were old or missing, which they weren't. I let it run till I could see by the times that it was in the 3rd loop of rebuilding them. So Just for S&G, I made an OldMail directory, and since the biggest index file was for debian-user list, and all the file dates were from thanksgiving day 2018 and newer. I moved anything dated before Jan 1 2019 into this invisible to kmail old directory. Before I was done, kmail suddenly decided the indexes were good and shut the reindexing off. And has not restarted.
