I'm guessing you're saying it depends on tdesudo (which sucks),
because I'm pretty sure tdesu is always there (add root password to
use).

While I prefer starting with a minimal TDE, I can see you point. I
don't know how metapackages work, could I install tde-trinity to pick
up everything I didn't get with tdebase-trinity? Could q4os offer a
full TDE (tde-trinity) via a metapackage?
