	Uh-huh.  And while typing text into Kate, I see these messages in the Konsole 
I used to start it:

TQThreadInstance::start: Setting thread storage to 0x2eb17a0
TQThreadInstance::finish: In TQThreadInstance::finish for thread 0x2eb17a0

	I'm wondering why these messages are being written at all.  They look like 
left-over debugging messages?
