Oh... That is interesting!

I wish I knew this earlier as perhaps the issue we've encountered has been with us not setting the vpd_unit_serial /correctly/ at times and then only noticing that the SCSIID had changed and thus ended up looking down the wrong(?) track.

Other than in the source, is there somewhere this is documented that I should have found?

Thanks for the link (and your time), I'm not developer (especially with c) but it's useful to see where this is implemented.

I'm going to go through our setup and ensure the vpd_unit_serial is indeed being correctly enforced at preset, then test failover several times.
