Hi, I am experiencing problems with all squirrelmail releases newer than 1.4.9a. Ewerywhere where I have upgraded from 1.4.9a to 1.4.13, squirrelmail fails to read large folders, containing more than 3000 messages. Squirrelmail is set to split list of messages into batches of 100. The error message is classic: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4097 bytes) in /usr/share/squirrelmail-1.4.16/functions/imap_general.php on line 92 Changing maximum memory usage for php does not help - increasing it to 32MB only made it possible to view folders counting around 2500 messages... However, it takes around 15-20 seconds while 1.4.9a displays folder contents instantly (first batch of 100 messages). Increasing allowed mem usage is pointless, since when I change it to 64MB squirrelmail exceeds maximum execution time - and even changing max. execution time to more than 150sec. won't help, noone will wait so long. I tried both 1.4.15 and 1.4.16, but it did not help - the problem remains. I also tested 1.4.10 and 1.4.10a - those worked without any problem. So it seems, that something was changed from 1.4.10a to 1.4.13 - something that forced squirrelmail to cache the whole mail folder instead of getting just a batch of messages. I searched for some config option which would disable such caching, but didn't find any. Settings are identical in 1.4.10a and 1.4.13. I'm using squirrelmail on Debian box, with with cyrus-imapd version 2.2.13-10, apache 2.2.3-4+etch4, php 5.2.0-8+etch11 Thanks in advance for any help... -- Jacek Osiecki joshua@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Poland ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ ----- squirrelmail-users mailing list Posting guidelines: http://squirrelmail.org/postingguidelines List address: squirrelmail-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx List archives: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.mail.squirrelmail.user List info (subscribe/unsubscribe/change options): https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/squirrelmail-users
