I'm not sure it it is the Windows hostname - because this one is just set to "Serverxxx". I did three test - the different headers you can find below: 1# With Outlook (works fine) Received: from serverrdxxx ([192.xxx.xxx.xx1]) by mail.domain2.dnsalais.org with hMailServer ; Tue, 12 Aug 2008 07:07:20 +0200 2# With SM via local network (not working to the outside world) Received: from webmail.domain1.local ([192.xxx.xxx.xx1]) by mail.domain2.dnsalais.org with hMailServer ; Mon, 11 Aug 2008 08:21:20 +0200 Received: from 192.xxx.xxx.xx2 ([192.xxx.xxx.xx2]) (SquirrelMail authenticated user ralf@xxxxxxxxxxxxx) by webmail.domain1.local with HTTP; Mon, 11 Aug 2008 08:21:20 +0200 (ope) 3# With SM from the internet (not working to the outside world) Received: from webmail.domain2.dnsalias.org ([192.xxx.xxx.xx1]) by mail.domain2.dnsalais.org with hMailServer ; Tue, 12 Aug 2008 07:01:10 +0200 Received: from 217.110.53.14 ([217.110.53.14]) (SquirrelMail authenticated user ralf@xxxxxxxxxxxxx) by webmail.domain2.dnsalias.org with HTTP; Tue, 12 Aug 2008 07:01:10 +0200 (ope) You can see that SM is not using the local hostname of the Windows host (is "Serverxxx"). This just happens if I'm using Outlook. And we can see also that SM is working with two "Received" lines and is using not the Windows host name. It is using the http address for SM - webmail.domain1.local (local network access) or webmail.domain2.dnsalias.org (from the internet). Question 1 for me is: Where in the SM configuration can I change it to a fix address - e.g. my officel one (webmail.domain2.dnsalias.org). And the question 2 is: Do I need the second "Received" line. If yes - where in SM can I modify these one (e.g. "authenticated user" and "by"). If you have any more questions, please feel free to contact me. Looks like, tha problem is in "webmail.xxx.local". Mail server _must_ use correct domain name, that can be resolve. This hostname is not valid domain name, because of this, others mail servers can not work with it. So, it seems, that hostname of the server, where SM is located - is something like xxx.local. If you change it to correct domain name - mail should work. -- Dmitry Banshchikov ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ ----- squirrelmail-users mailing list Posting guidelines: http://squirrelmail.org/postingguidelines List address: squirrelmail-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx List archives: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.mail.squirrelmail.user List info (subscribe/unsubscribe/change options): https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/squirrelmail-users ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ ----- squirrelmail-users mailing list Posting guidelines: http://squirrelmail.org/postingguidelines List address: squirrelmail-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx List archives: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.mail.squirrelmail.user List info (subscribe/unsubscribe/change options): https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/squirrelmail-users
