I asked you not to top post, so why did you top post again? I asked you to consult the mailing list posting guidelines which explain top posting and more, but you ignored me. Do you respect the free help you are getting? >>> (Received: from webmail.xxx.local ([192.x.x.x]) by >>> mail.xxx.dnsalais.org with hMailServer ; Sun, 3 Aug 2008 11:20:04 >>> +0200 Received: from 192.x.x.x ([192.x.x.x]) (SquirrelMail >>> authenticated user ralf@xxxxxxxxx) by webmail.xxx.local with HTTP; >>> Sun, 3 Aug 2008 11:20:04 +0200 (ope)). >> >> Looks like, tha problem is in "webmail.xxx.local". It'd be better if the hostname is set to a fully qualified domain name. Try something like mail.example.com. I also sent you a whole range of comments and questions, none of which you bothered to answer, yet you come back asking for help again (note I told you to use "xxx" replacements with more consistency and sense... in this message not only did you ignore my suggestion, but you actually replaced meaningless local 192. addresses yet left in your real home IP address for the world to see). $encode_header_key was suggested, but I think you need to address the real problem you seem to have, which is probably in your server (hostname?) setup. > I did three test - the different headers you can find below: > > 1# With Outlook (works fine) > > Received: from serverrdxxx ([192.xxx.xxx.xx1]) by mail.domain2.dnsalais.org > with > hMailServer ; Tue, 12 Aug 2008 07:07:20 +0200 > > > 2# With SM via local network (not working to the outside world) > > Received: from webmail.domain1.local ([192.xxx.xxx.xx1]) by > mail.domain2.dnsalais.org with > hMailServer ; Mon, 11 Aug 2008 08:21:20 +0200 > Received: from 192.xxx.xxx.xx2 ([192.xxx.xxx.xx2]) (SquirrelMail > authenticated user > ralf@xxxxxxxxxxxxx) by webmail.domain1.local with > HTTP; Mon, 11 Aug 2008 08:21:20 +0200 (ope) > > 3# With SM from the internet (not working to the outside world) > > Received: from webmail.domain2.dnsalias.org ([192.xxx.xxx.xx1]) by > mail.domain2.dnsalais.org with > hMailServer ; Tue, 12 Aug 2008 07:01:10 +0200 > Received: from 217.110.53.14 ([217.110.53.14]) (SquirrelMail authenticated > user > ralf@xxxxxxxxxxxxx) by webmail.domain2.dnsalias.org with > HTTP; Tue, 12 Aug 2008 07:01:10 +0200 (ope) > > You can see that SM is not using the local hostname of the Windows host (is > "Serverxxx"). Such a hostname is not valid, unless you are not showing that it is actually fully qualified. If SM does not use it, this is due to your web server configuration and is not a SquirrelMail problem. You should also make sure that the SquirrelMail $domain has been correctly configured. > This just happens if I'm using Outlook. > And we can see also that SM is working with two "Received" lines and is SM only creates the bottom one. The MTA adds the other one itself. > using not the Windows host name. It is using the http address for SM - > webmail.domain1.local (local network access) or webmail.domain2.dnsalias.org > (from the internet). Your web server/PHP environment is responsible for this. Maybe your server is so borked that if you don't want to fix it the right way you should in fact use $encode_header_key (use the SM conf.pl utility-->2 Server Settings-->B Update SMTP Settings-->9 Header encryption key) so you can just mask your problems. But I think you still might have problems if what you said previously was true (example 2 has "local" in the MTA's Received header, which you claim is getting your messages blocked). In that case, it will be clear that you need to go back to square one and configure your server correctly. > Question 1 for me is: Where in the SM configuration can I change it to a fix > address - e.g. my officel one (webmail.domain2.dnsalias.org). SM uses the SERVER_NAME PHP environment variable - if none exists, it will use the SM $domain setting. Looks to me like the SERVER_NAME in your PHP environment is problematic. > And the question 2 is: Do I need the second "Received" line. If yes - where > in SM can I modify these one (e.g. "authenticated user" and "by"). The authenticated user you show is suspicious. There should be no reason why it should say "local" in your username - you have borked your mail server setup or not bothered to configure SM's $domain for starters. I *ALREADY* pointed this out, and you ignored it.
