I think you can drag folders.  Just try it.

Mails already there are not affected.

SM doesn't have that feature.  I don't think it's a trivial thing to
add because IMAP is designed more for mail reading than writing,
although it is technically of course very possible to place messages
on the server (as we do when adding messages to the sent folder).
