What OS are you using? Windows? If so, look for advice in the wiki <http://squirrelmail.org/wiki/index.php?action=find&find=windows> and your web server documentation. I haven't tried SquirrelMail on Windows myself, so I can't give you any advice. If you're using Linux, UNIX, or anything similar: find someone who can explain the file and user system to you.
