tags used for media playing should be inserted after </script>

If you enable media playing, do you have <embed> block in left_main.php
script output?

Are you using Firefox on Linux or on Windows? Could you show list of
plugins enabled in Firefox (see about:plugins URL) and list of IE's
browser helper objects (BHO)?
